People that I speak with say they like living in Conway because of the people that live here! A vibrant downtown, full of great places to eat, antiques shops, mom and pop clothing stores, three Colleges for their kids to choose from, a strong housing market, a wide variety of high paying jobs, and did I mention the wonderful people?
There are several other towns in Faulkner County to live in if you prefer more of a "out in the country" feel away from the "city" of Conway.
The town of Greenbrier is just 12 miles away from Conway on Highway 65 and was recently named the safest city in Arkansas! The schools in Greenbrier consistently rank among the highest in the state for academics. There are about 5,000 people living in Greenbrier and I suspect it will continue to grow.
Vilonia has been hit hard in recent years by severe weather and tornadoes and everybody was quick to jump in and help where they were needed. Here again, it's the citizens of Vilonia that make this town great!
Mayflower is another town that has been devastated by tornadoes. Just like Vilonia, the people of Mayflower are strong willed and determined to rebuild their town.
About ten miles from Conway on Highway 25 N. is the town of Wooster. The housing market in this area is really doing great and there are new neighborhoods being developed with some very nice homes.
Talk about country living! If all you need is some peace and quiet and a beautiful part of the state to live in, Enola is the place!
Kind of like Enola, Quitman is a small, country town. Quitman is actually in two counties, Cleburne and Faulkner. If you like the country life, check out this amazing area Arkansas.
Just about 10 miles north of Greenbrier is the town of Damascus and is also part of two counties, Faulkner and Van Buren. Damascus has about 400 people living there.
